I’m Riko González, a photographer from Puerto Rico, now based in Minneapolis with a love for images that feel lived-in.
What started with photographing cars eventually grew into a much broader passion for photography; from portraits and live music to cities, landscapes, and the places I discover while traveling. I’m drawn to moments that have a sense of place and character, whether that’s a quiet stretch of road, a massive landscape, the energy of a concert, or something as simple as the way light falls across a city.
Film has been at the center of my work for more than seven years. I love the grain, the imperfections, the colors, and the feeling that comes from making a photograph rather than simply taking one. Even when I’m shooting digital, that influence stays with me.
At its core, my photography is about chasing those moments that make me stop, look twice, and want to remember where I was.
